Of course the color is what first catches your eye. But, the beauty is more than skin deep. The layers of laminated birch give the needles a strength that is missing in regular wooden needles. The stability allowed us to shape sharp points- particularly nice for lace knitting. It also made small sizes more durable and resistant to breakage. Being wood, the burnished surface has a slight grip so slick yarns like mohair and angora don’t slip off at the wrong time. This quality also makes them an excellent choice for beginning knitters, who often have trouble keeping stitches on the needles.

The metric sizing system is more precise than the US sizing system. We offer two US size 1 - equivalent to 2.25mm and 2.50mm and two US size 2 - equivalent to 2.75mm and 3.00mm.

The 16" needle tips are 3 3/8 inches long, allowing for an easily formed complete circle for small circumference knitting. The 24", 32", 40" and 47" needle tips are 5 1/8 inches long. Since our cable is super flexible, the Magic Loop method of sock knitting can be accomplished with the 32" needles.

Ich stricke gerade die ersten Reihen mit meiner neuen Harmony-Nadel und bin begeistert! Erstens sehen sie toll aus. Zweitens sind sie herrlich spitz und die Spitzen sind schön hart. Drittens gleiten die Maschen leicht über die Nadeln, obwohl das Holz etwas stumpfer als Metall ist. Ich habe schon alle möglichen Holznadeln ausprobiert, aber keine hat mir richtig gefallen und so bin ich doch immer wieder bei Metallnadeln gelandet. Aber die Harmony-Nadeln haben mich echt überzeugt. Vor allem für Lochmuster sind sie einfach perfekt.
